Calanander RETRO: FROM HERE TO ETERNITY

The Academy of Arts and Sciences is hosting a screening of the premiere of a new digital restoration of FROM HERE TO ETERNITY. The event will be hosted by Lou Diamond Phillips and feature a discussion with actor Ernest Borgnine. At the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in LA, on November 18 at 7:30pm.

Los Angeles - RED CLIFF - Free Advance Screening

There will be a free advance screening of RED CLIFF at 7:30pm at the Montalban in LA on November 17. Doors will open at 7:00pm, and the screening will be followed by an after party.

New York - NINJA ASSASSIN - Actor Appearance

NINJA ASSASSIN star Rain will be making an appearance at Giant Robot New York at 8:30pm on November 13 to promote his new film. It is unclear if there will be a signing or if this is just a meet and greet event.

Los Angeles - PUSAN WEST SHOWCASE

Chapman University in Orange County, CA will be hosting the first ever Pusan West Showcase - a film festival featuring Korean films that will run from November 20-22. Many marquee films from the Korean New Wave and past Korean cinema will be there including:

November 20 at 6:00pm - Opening night ceremony, featuring a screening of THIRST with an introduction by director Chan-wook Park.

November 21 at 7:30pm - A screening of A BITTERSWEET LIFE followed by a Q&A with director Jee-woon Kim.

LA - WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE - Director Book Signing & Q&A, No Screening

On November 15 at 5:00pm, director Spike Jonze will sign copies of his new book, Heads On And We Shoot, which is about the making of WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. Following the book signing, he will hold a Q&A session. At the Family Bookstore in LA.

Admission is free at the door.

Los Angeles - OH MY GOD - Filmmaker Q&A & Introduction

Following the 7:30pm show of OH MY GOD at the Nuart in LA on November 13, filmmaker Peter Rodger will hold a Q&A session. On November 15, Rodger will hold a Q&A session following the 12:00pm show and introduce the 2:30pm show.

New York - DARE - Writer & Actress Q&A

Following the 8:00pm show of DARE at the Village Cinema East in NY on November 13, writer David Brind and actress Emmy Rossum will hold a Q&A session. They will then introduce the 10:30pm show. Following the 8:00pm show on November 14, Brind will hold another Q&A session with actress Sandra Bernhard, and they will introduce the 10:30pm show.

New York - THE PRIVATE LIVES OF PIPPA LEE - Advance Screening & Producer Q&A

Part of the Variety Screening Series:
There will be an advance screening of THE PRIVATE LIVES OF PIPPA LEE at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in NY on November 17 at 7:30pm. Following the screening, producer Lenore Syvan will hold a Q&A session.
