For Your Consideration - Happy Thanksgiving!

For Your Consideration is a weekly round-up of upcoming indie limited releases. The idea is to either expose you to or remind you of films that can't afford to plaster their posters on the sides of buildings or accompany your Happy Meal in toy form.

This week, we have a handful of new releases to be thankful for: the limited release of Disney's return to 2-D animation in The Princess and the Frog, Zac Efron's effort to prove he's more than a High School Musical heartthrob in Me and Orson Welles, stunning Robyn Wright Penn in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, and a film about surviving after the end of the world in The Road. All we know for sure is, if anyone in your family insists on celebrating the holiday by seeing Old Dogs, you should probably turn them down. New York - THE ROAD - Director Discussion, No Screening

On November 17 at 7:00pm, director John Hillcoat will discuss his new film, THE ROAD, at the Apple Store SoHo in NY. There is no attached screening.

New York - THE ROAD - Advance Screening & Actor Q&A

As part of the Variety Screening Series:
There will be an advance screening of THE ROAD at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in NY on November 18 at 7:30pm. Following the screening, actor Viggo Mortensen will hold a Q&A session.
