On January 16 at 8:00pm, the Aero in LA will host a double feature of CRAZY HEART and THE BIG LEBOWSKI. Between the two films, actor Jeff Bridges will participate in a discussion.
On January 10 at 7:30pm, the Aero in LA will host a special screening of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. During the film, director Oren Peli and producers Jason Blum and Steven Schneider will provide live commentary.
On January 8 at 7:30pm, the Aero in LA will host a double feature of BROTHERS and IN AMERICA. Between the two films, director Jim Sheridan will participate in a discussion.
On January 15 at 7:30pm, the Film Society at Lincoln Center will host an evening with director Jonathan Demme. The event will feature a screening of Demme's documentary NEIL YOUNG TRUCK SHOW. It is unclear if there will be a discussion with Demme included in the event.
On January 9th at 6:00pm, the Film Society at Lincoln Center will host an evening with Jeff Bridges. The event will feature a sample screening of many of Bridges past works, and a discussion with the man himself about his career, life and his love for film. Immediately following the event, there will be a screening of THE LAST PICTURE SHOW.

On January 5, The Gen Art Screening Series will host the New York red carpet premiere of YOUTH IN REVOLT at the Regal Cinemas Union Square. The screening will be at 7:30pm, followed by an after party at La Pomme.
Following the 8:05pm show of CRAZY HEART at the Arclight Hollywood in LA on December 19, actor Robert Duvall and director Scott Cooper will hold a Q&A session.

The 7:30pm and 9:45pm shows of MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YE DONE at the IFC Center in NY on December 11 will feature an appearance by director Werner Herzog.
Following the 7:30pm screening of FOUR SEASONS LODGE at the Music Hall 3 in LA on December 11 and 12, filmmaker Andrew Jacobs will hold a Q&A session. He will then introduce the 10:00pm show on December 11. He will also hold a Q&A session after the 12:00pm show on December 12 and 13.
On January 7 there will be an advance screening of YOUTH IN REVOLT at Pacific's The Grove Stadium 14 in LA at 7:30pm. The screening will be followed by an after party.

On December 13 at 7:00pm, there will be an advance screening of CRAZY HEART. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with actors Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal and writer/director Scott Cooper. At the Scandinavia House (58 Park Avenue).
There will be a screening of A SERIOUS MAN at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in NY on December 14 at 7:30pm. A Q&A is scheduled to follow with actors Michael Stuhlbarg, Fred Melamed & Amy Landecker.

For Your Consideration is a weekly round-up of upcoming indie limited releases. The idea is to either expose you to or remind you of films that can't afford to plaster their posters on the sides of buildings or accompany your Happy Meal in toy form.
This week brings us one of the supposed forerunners in the Oscar race - Up In The Air. Also debuting this week are Oscar hopefuls Brothers, The Last Station, and odd longshot Everybody's Fine. We're entering the final month of awards season releases, so there should be something at the theater for everyone this week.
On December 7 at 7:30pm, there will be an advance screening of CRAZY HEART at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Following the screening, actors Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal will participate in a Q&A session moderated by Anne Thompson.
Following the 7:40pm and 10:00pm shows of BIG RIVER MAN at the IFC Center in NY on December 5, director John Maringouin will make an appearance. He will also appear for the 3:10pm and 5:25pm shows on December 6.
